Salt + Smoke specialises in traditional dishes cooked over fire. Focusing on local produce prepared and plated in front of your guests Salt + Smoke showcase rustic but refined dishes. With a passion in both the farming and catering world, Ben, founder and chef, harnesses fire as the fuel for food at your event. This includes Asado lamb, spit roast pork as well as flame licked vegetarian dishes. This can be served from their lovely vintage horse box kitchen or straight from the grill.

The team are now introducing a wood fired pizza/ flatbread list to their menu, perfect for hungry revellers who want to feast again, later into the night.

The Horse Box

The Horse Box trailer provides Georgia and Steve with opportunities to go out to new exciting shows, meet new people and test new food ideas. They pop up at events and food scenes across the county and beyond.

In The Horse Box, their speciality focus is handcrafted, organic flatbread tacos. They absolutely love making these beautiful tacos that have a satisfyingly good texture thanks to their recipe which uses organic yoghurt.

The Horse Box provides the perfect set up for whatever their seasonal menu is offering. They like to create dishes with big flavours, using as much local and in season produce as possible, whilst supporting their local farmers and businesses.

CARNE

CARNE offer traditional and, not to mention, absolutely delicious Mexican tacos! They serve their traditional street food in the style of a ‘taqueria’ found in the heart of Mexico City. 

Their selection of tacos range from their signature pork ‘al pastor’ taco to their delicious ancho mushroom taco, all served with soft corn tortillas and homemade red salsas. They can also offer burritos and nachos upon request. All their food is gluten-free and they can cater to most dietary requirements so there will be something for everyone!

The Oxford Foodies

The Oxford Foodies are a family run street-food business trading from their lovingly restored, beautiful Citroen HY. Their van, ‘Eric’ is French, charming and is available for all kinds of events! Oxfordshire is very much at the heart of what The Oxford Foodies do and they keep their ingredients sourced as locally as they possibly can.

With a passion for food made from scratch, head chef Matthew cures his own bacon, salt-beef, ham-hock and smokes his own pastrami. The pulled meats are cooked for a minimum of 8 hours using homemade seasonings, making them tender and juicy and uses his delicious slow roasted pulled meats to make burritos with Mexican street salad, refried pinto beans, savoury rice and chimichurri.

They can also serve up pretty impressive deli sandwiches; The Cuban sandwich is packed with pork, ham hock and cheese with a mojito marinade to the side while their Reuben sandwich, with its origins in New York, is filled with salt beef, pastrami, cheese, mustard and sauerkraut and a pickle to the side,

Yu-ca-taco

Yu-ca-taco’s founding philosophy is to provide high quality traditional Mexican food (to those who might otherwise not have access to it) at an affordable price. They believe in local and responsible food sourcing, especially when it comes to meat, and aim to completely eliminate plastic waste by avoiding single-use plastics.

The Yu-ca-taco team have never met a person who didn’t like real Mexican food. In 2010, Mexican food was recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, but Yu-ca-taco go one step further: they believe that access to this life-changing cuisine should be upgraded to a universal human right. In lieu of a Government-Funded Mexican-Food Relief-Scheme (or GFMFRS), Yu-ca-taco have taken it upon themselves to provide this essential service.

The menu includes classic soft-shell corn tortillas, filled with slow-cooked meat (or beans for the veggies and vegans), topped with fresh salad and home-made salsas. It’s all served from their awesome yellow horsebox which is guaranteed to be the focal point at any event!
