Dog n Bon Street Food

Dog n Bon Street Food brings you the very best gourmet hot dogs, loaded fries and bon bons. What's a bon bon? It's a little deep fried ball of deliciousness, stuffed with a variety of fillings such as haggis or cheese. We have worked hard to source the finest ingredients, we use premium beef frankfurters that we import from Germany to ensure the most authentic flavour. We work closely with a local baker, based in Loanhead, who makes us bespoke brioche buns to marry perfectly with our hot dogs. Where possible, all of our fillings for the hot dogs are homemade and we endeavour to use the finest quality ingredients we can find. We use the same ethos and method when we create our loaded fries or bon bons too, we aim to deliver the highest quality street food and provide a service that is both efficient and delicious. 

Since our inception in 2018, we have developed an exciting variety of hot dogs, fries and bon bons. When booking, you will get the choose from all our options and create a bespoke menu for your event where guests will get to enjoy a hot dog and a side (fries/bons). 

In regards to our set up, we have just taken delivery of our bespoke 20ft catering trailer that is capable of handling any event, regardless of size. It has a built in generator and is fully self-sufficient with commercial sinks and high quality appliances throughout. We also have a smaller 12ft trailer that can be used as well as gazebo set ups that can be used indoors or outdoors.

Firedog

Firedog have been slinging delicious gourmet imported dogs for the past 3 years. They have traded at everything from massive music festivals to smaller corporate gigs and recently were hired to cater for Actor Chris Pine at his wrap party (he came back for seconds).

They are also residents at Scotland’s biggest Street Food Market Big Feed. They serve Imported German Dogs, Aberdeen Angus Burgers and Loaded Nachos. All served from a beautifully converted vintage HY wagon that they picked up in the south of France that would look amazing just about anywhere!

They have appeared in multiple TV shows, magazine articles and recently catered for the actor Chris Pine, so they must be doing something right. They can serve 100 delicious portions an hour which is guaranteed to keep your guests happy!

Our experience:

Belmonte Catering is personally operated by founder Michael Notarangelo.
Michael  said: “After I graduated I got a job working on the new Queensferry Crossing but when that project was completed I found myself out of work and unable to find an engineering role suited to my skillset.
“It was on a trip to Thailand that I saw the opportunity to develop an ice cream rolls business based on the street food sellers there who first came up with the idea.
“The fact my granddad used to run an ice cream van after he emigrated from Italy to Edinburgh also had more than a passing inspiration.
“After securing funding, I set out to create my own bespoke operation called Rolly’s Ice Cream, developing and sourcing the equipment and conceiving all the branding and product development.
“From there, it has always been about thinking – what next? So that’s where the focus came to develop a high quality street food operation, first with Dog n Bon and now Pronto Pizza.”
Michael said despite the successes to date – and the challenges of running the operation and his team of 16 staff – he does not want to stand still.
He added: “I’ve created a new Limited Company, Belmonte Catering – named after the village of our family home in Italy – where we plan to offer a range of services such as catering at events around Scotland and the UK and in further developing ties with conference organisers, venues and catering operations."

We have experience of serving thousands of customers throughout Scotland; covering high/low volume events, weddings, private functions and fixed term residencies. For the past two years we have been successfully operating within Edinburgh Zoo with three of our concepts - and we provided the catering at the 2021 Christmas at the Botanics event in Edinburgh

Screaming Peacock

Screaming Peacock serves up supremely tasty burgers & hot dogs as well as fabulously delicious fries at parties and events all around Scotland. Their burgers & hot dogs are top of the range, hand-made by the team in Fife, and guaranteed to contain the best Wild Game they can get their claws on.

All the burgers & hot dogs are hand-made with Wild Venison and Pheasant that they source through their own family business.

Added natural ingredients include pinhead oats, yellow peppers, simple seasonings and a few secret additions, all mixed in with a hefty sprinkling of foodie passion. It’s what makes their burgers & dogs worth screaming about!

All of the amazing food is served by our delightful Peacock Team from our vibrant blue food trailers and our fully branded gazebo units that are guaranteed to stand out anywhere. Depending on which set up you choose, they can serve up to 250 portions per hour so your guests won’t spend the whole time queuing.

We essentialy provide street good catering to all manner of events from weddings to music festivals. There's a few set ups we have but we mainly run events out of our smashing looking horsebox.  We tend to lean to South American and classic Americana dishes but are very open to do whatever takes your fancy!. We also provide a strong dietary restrictions menu from our gluten free tacos to our vegan loaded nachos we've got something for everyone. Were based in Edinburgh Scotland but love to travel around and visit different event spaces!
