Event Insider: The House of Peroni

In a gloriously chic, cultural and inspiring culmination, Peroni Nastro Azzuro has launched The House of Peroni, bringing together the best emerging talent from across its drinks and fashion programmes with a series of immersive rooms... It’s daring doors are to be opened next week - launching on the 27th of February until the 9th of March - continuing the fabulous furore of London Fashion Week. We’ve partnered with Peroni’s ‘Home of Emerging Talent’ to not only echo its core purpose of nurturing great skill and vision but also to feed the hungry crowds with the incredible Pasta e Basta’s food, as they envelope themselves in this fully immersive experience...

What’s The House of Peroni all about?

At the core of The House of Peroni concept is a celebration of the incredible talent which passed through its fashion programme last year. Following a nationwide search for up and coming fashion creatives, Peroni saw hundreds of budding designers apply to their programme. The final eight were then hand selected by The House of Peroni’s established Creative Council of industry experts - a collective of industry-leading disruptors and influencers including Jonathan Saunders, Editor-in-Chief of Dazed & Confused, Isabella Burley, brand consultant and The Sunday Times‘ former Fashion Features Editor, Pandora Sykes.

I’m intrigued, tell me more about the event…

To pay homage to the work of the eight successful fashion designers, The House of Peroni will contain eight curated and wholly immersive rooms. Every room you step into will have a unique look and feel reflective of its respective designer’s work - essentially the coolest and most extra shrine to someone's work ever - I’ll just be here waiting for my immersive room…

The spaces will include ‘Sicily’, featuring lighting representative of the Sicilian sky, animated with shafts of light to create an ever-shifting pool of movement. Visitors entering the ‘Nature and Maximalism’ room will be met with botanical scents, and a wall of flowers made from unnatural materials, illustrating nature’s ability to overcome man’s destructive powers. For those who are more visual, the multi-sensorial ‘Future and Sci Fi’ area will be enveloped with city-like sounds, transporting guests through time, into a futuristic zone. Experiential events have been taking London by storm over the last year (normally on a rooftop somewhere in Shoreditch) so trust us, this is not to be missed!

Cocktail hour!

With Mancunian cocktail-master Sam Taylor at the helm, visitors to The House of Peroni can sip on some spectacular Peroni-inspired alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations. Sam, from Science and Industry, who was himself scouted from a nationwide search by Peroni for the best up and coming bartending talent, will be mentored by Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s world-renowned Master of Mixology, Simone Caporale. Celebrating the craftsmanship and talent of the drinks world, both Simone and Sam will host cocktail-making classes and talks together at the event to showcase the best of their spirit-mixing skills and how adept Peroni can be when making cocktails!

The pasta-bilities are endless with London-based Pasta e Basta. These guys reinvent classic dishes from head chef Fabrizio’s childhood in Puglia, southern Italy. His pasta, gnocchi and ravioli are made using freshly cracked farm eggs and the finest flour before being topped with his homemade ragus, pestos & sauces in his East London kitchen. There’s a reason the Evening Standard ranked Pasta e Basta’s ravioli in London’s top 3 pasta dishes...
