At Feast It, we're lucky enough to work with a selection of the UK's very best event photographers, all of whom are prodigiously talented when it comes to capturing the most important moments of people's lives.
However, like the rest of the wider sector, event photographers found themselves without any events to capture over the course of the last 18 months of lockdown. But, rather than sitting around twiddling their thumbs, many of them got out and about and took pictures of the wider world.
Here we compile some of the best images that the event photographers we work with took during the last year and a half.
Sophie tends to specialise in creating atmospheric imagery for brands, events, weddings and families. Over the lockdown period, she undertook a project photographing local children in front of their homes around Cuckfield in Sussex. The images are a powerful reminder of the extent to which children have been affected by the pandemic.
Wolverhampton-based Ian specialises in weddings photography, as well as photographing animals. Over lockdown, Ian took some stunning images of nature, capturing some beautiful scenes.
Corina is a wedding photographer based in Brighton. Over lockdown she took the opportunity to capture street photography of her hometown with far fewer people out and about.
Hedgehog Photographic was founded by Ed, who specialises in wedding photography across Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire. He took some stunning shots on nature over lockdown and these are some of the best.
Paul is a wedding photographer based in Wimbledon and took some brilliant images of an Extinction Rebellion demonstration in the midst of lockdown.
Maria from Ebourne Images, who normally specialises in wedding photography, took some stunning shots of animals over lockdown. Aren't those dogs just so pettable?
