The founders of Cotswold Salt Beef both lived in London and when they left what they really missed was a good Salt Beef Sandwich. They took matters into their own hands and decided to make their own, hence the birth of ‘The Cotswold Salt Beef Company’.
Their beef is locally sourced from Gloucestershire grass-fed herds and their bagels and rye bread are delivered fresh each day from local artisan bakers; they even go as far as making their own brining liquid made to a traditional recipe with all organic produce!
The beef is then cured and turned for seven days to ensure that every piece is enveloped in flavour. The beef is cooked slowly for up to four hours before serving it fresh and hot, piled high & wedged between a homemade bagel/rye bread and a delicious choice of dressings.
