Although Ginger & Chilli’s heart is with Indian food, this innovative brand wanted a celebration of all things Asian at the core of their concept.
The team have been running pop-up nights and street food events since the start of 2016. Since then they’ve served up some unique recipes including shoulder of lamb Jaffna, spiced Cullen skink with curry leaves and home-smoked hake, Kati roll tacos, crab Rassam, pulled brisket Penang and peat-smoked salted caramel ice-cream to name but a few!
In one night you can expect to travel from Sri Lanka to Penang, via Kerala, Phuket and Glasgow - without a plane or train in sight! Each dish is perfectly created in front of the guests, adding an incredibly exciting sense of theatricality which only street food can provide. They can serve between 80-100 portions an hour and each one is guaranteed to be as good as the next.
