Taste Mauritius, launched by self-taught cook Selina Periapillai, is the UK's first Mauritian supper club. Tropical, spicy, sunshine flavours of the islands of Mauritius and the Indian Ocean.
Chef and author of upcoming cookbook The Island Kitchen Selina can prepare a memorable meal or canapes for any occasion with dishes like fragrant spiced cari, beach-side snacks with fiery fresh chutneys and decadent caramelised pineapple sunken in creamy coconut ice cream. Selina can create brilliant bespoke menus to suit each client’s needs, see below to get an idea of what she is able to offer.
Selina's food transports you to the islands, she has experience in supper clubs, pop-ups, teaching cookery classes and private catering from corporate events to dinners at clients’ homes. Since starting Taste Mauritius in 2012, Selina has gone from strength to strength, her debut cookbook was shortlisted for the Jane Grigson Award, and she was awarded the best Mauritian Caterer in 2015.
